Southwest Athletic Hall of Fame

Welcome to the Southwest High School Athletic Hall of Fame website. As Southwest High School approaches its 75th anniversary it does so with renewed excitement. Academically, Southwest was named the #1 public school in Minnesota for the fourth consecutive year by the Washington Post. Athletically, Southwest has continued it great tradition of 23 State Championships and over 200 City Championships. There is a lot to celebrate with these type of achievements. Accordingly, the SW Hall of Fame was created to annually honor the individuals, teams, coach's, boosters, and families who have contributed to this success. Please help us find and recognize those contributors by filling out a nomination that could lead to their induction into the SW HOF. The inaugural Southwest Athletic HOF Class was inducted in August, 2014 to a sold out crowd. To commemorate the 2016 HOF Class, a Southwest All Sports Reunion will be held on August 11th, 2016 at Interlachen Country Club.

This website, and the emails sent from this site, will be used to communicate and recognize and NOT to fund raise but rather friend raise. It has been sanctioned by both the Southwest High School Administration and the Athletic Director. Please sign up below so we can contact you once or twice a year about future events.

Southwest Athletic Hall of Fame Philosophy

The Southwest High School Athletic Hall of Fame represents a cooperative effort between the Southwest Foundation and the Southwest High School Athletic Department.  It is designed to foster pride and spirit in both the alumni and the Southwest community.  Its purpose is to recognize athlete achievements plus contributions to athletic success from individuals, teams, coaches, families, and boosters. The Hall of Fame provides the opportunity to share the athletic history, celebrate the memories, and relive some of the special moments of the past with friends, teammates, and the community.
